Even if VW made quite a few in '66 (and I don't think they did,) they were still made only in that year and are quite rare today. Value is relative, of course, and depends on how eager the buyer is. No matter what, it sounds like you got a terrific bargain. > I am looking to do a more or less perfect resto on this one. I have > previously restored a 67 fasty, but that was a rolling resto. It's your car, and the choice is yours, but these changes are not in line with the concept of a restoration. In my opinion, it would be a shame to do this kind of thing to a car this rare and in such good original condition, even considering the rusty fenders. > As soon as possible I will post pics somewhere on the net, We all look forward to seeing your pics someday. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
