It's probably not practical to consider making a dune buggy out of your type 3, mainly for the 2 reasons you already gave. Virtually all dunebuggys are made from type 1 pans, and your pan is rusted out so it won't make a suitable foundation anyway. It's sad, but if your '73 is really shot, then parting it out is probably the best bet. I'm always looking for '73 interior parts in dark blue, mainly carpet and vinyl panels. Yours didn't have a dark blue interior did it? -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
