The way to check for a clogged fuel filter is to put a pressure gauge on the main gas feed line. There will be a port to connect a gauge to between one of the pairs of injectors. The FI system should sit at 28-30 psi any time the engine is running. If the pressure droops when you ask more from the engine, then you probably have a filter problem. You really have to check this while driving. It's easy to get a friend to watch a guage in a squareback while driving, but a fasty takes a longer hose. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
