The Samba Classifieds would be a good choice for any VW project parts. Go to 
www.thesamba.com and click on the links. I know I've gotten a few parts from 
there. Also, if you're on the west coast, you might try The DDB ( 
www.theddb.com ) as Martin and the gang might have what you need. Or you could even try ISP 
west, as they are tooling up stuff for our cars every so often. Be aware 
though, some of their prices are a little higher than you would expect. :(

Something to keep in mind, the type3 never had a big following from the 
aftermarket (our production levels were too small they claim), so they never tooled 
up any parts like they did for bugs, buses, and t-1 ghias. :(  As a result of 
this, there are no "off shore" new parts for our cars, only used, good used, 
and NOS (new old stock). Interior parts, and some rubber parts are available, 
but "new" pop out window rubber for Fastbacks is still NLA (has been since 
1991). I hope this helps.
