In case you've not already thought of it, you should be aware that rims made before '66 lack the "safety hump" inside which makes radials an option. I'm having trouble remembering the details right now, but I believe that the early rims are okay for bias ply tires only if they are mounted with tubes, while they do not support radials properly. I suspect that 5-bolt type 3 wheels with the safety hump exist, because they would have been made as replacements after '66, but I have no idea how hard they might be to find.
