If it is the "L" dist, then this is a very good choice, but all the parts need to be in good shape so that everything's working. You should not connect the vacuum advance, however, the vacuum pickoff from your dual carbs works in the wrong direction. > A - what do i time it as, stock for the 69? That's TDC, and is the largest of the 4 marks. > b- its missing a cap and rotor, can you get them Bosch nowadays? I think they are still available from Bosch. You will be better off just starting and staying with genuine Bosch, even if it's a little hard to find. You don't have to find a VW shop; just find a foreign car shop that carries Bosch. They can get the parts for you. If that doesn't pan out, you can contact aircooled.net or me. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
