Mothballs work well... but they do linger indeed... you could smell my car clear accross the parking lot in the spring. In the garage I dont use anything but the one under wraps outdoor is "balled" Just a note to all those not driving thier cars in the winter, trigger-happy plowmen tend to salt at the drop of a hat these days... what you may think is a wet road may be salted... and one trip in the salt it all it takes to keep that stuff in the cracks, seams, spotwelds, and crusty rust and everywhere for a long time to come, no matter how much you try to wash it out. So be diligent in making sure none of it gets on your car by putting it away early rather than late. Salt is really insidious stuff.....!! On that note, Im taking the Square off the road tommoro here in NY and putting the Golf on.
