Sounds like you have a fairly rare car. This doesn't bother me as much as some, but, I understand their concern. The problem is not that you're chopping the car so much as that you won't finish it and it will end up in the scrap yard. Have you chopped a car before? It's not as easy as it sounds. Cutting it apart is easy. Getting everything back together is the tough part. Trust me. I've done a few. If you have the skills you will be fine. You must be a great welder. If you don't have the skills, learn on a Buick¨, or hire someone who can chop cars. You'll need a second roof, especially if you chop more than 2" and don't want to move the A, B and C pillars in. For the record, I like chopped Notchbacks. I like anything chopped for that matter. -- Phillip Bradfield founder: southern oregon vw club: http://www.sovw.com founder: das typ 3 projekt: http://www.dastyp3projekt.com (now in beta, take a look!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
