Try http://volksrods.com for information on a chop top. If you do a non
angle chop, you will need a second Type3 roof to do this. They will
information
as to chopping a top. Good group of guys, with a differnt out on
how you could or what you can do with your car.
Good luck with your project on what ever you do to the best air cooled
VW made. >>
Speak for yourself Papa G., as I have a roofless Square, and am a member of
VolksRods. : ) Some of us here are darksiders, but not ALL of us. I do agree
with the others about cutting up a rare Notch, but if HE really wants to do it,
it's his car to do so. My son and I think we could have fixed Lord Vader's
car, but he already cut the roof off it and made it his own car. : ) I've seen
John's sunroof conversion in person, and it's a beautiful job he did ( I also
love the ghost flames). It's also like those of us who convert our swing axle
cars over to IRS. It's another modification, and in my case, not easily
reversed. It's not stock, and I really don't mind it either, as I built the car to
drive, not be a trailer queen. : ) Just my take on it.
