On last night's episode of "Law & Order:CI", there was a '68-'69 Fasty shown in 3-4 scenes. The episode was about a crooked mechanic using homeless men in a scam to buy Crown Vics & Impalas at auction on credit...etc.,etc,etc. The Fasty was several shades of primer & had white hubcaps, but otherwise looked pretty straight. In one scene, we see two men "installing" the windshield, by picking it up with two suction cups & setting it in place, but without a seal!!! In the next scene w/the Fasty, the detective guy (no clue of his charactor name) points & says "That's a VW Fastback. It's pretty nice". He goes on to point out the new windsheild seal & mentions how that's a "two man job". It is??? I wonder if the show was filmed entirely in New York & who the Fasty belongs to. Could this be the biggest role a Type 3 has played on U.S. network TV? Now back to my currently hectic life where there's little time for TV & Type 3's... Eric H.
