You lube it by dripping ordinary oil in the top. There should be a felt 
plug there to hold some oil. If yours is stuck ask again and I'll try to 
explain it, but I usually recommend that people send them to me to 
rebuild.

Silicones are NOT good metal-to-metal lubricants!

Any of the FI SVDA dists are good choices. The earlier ones are 
somewhat better.
