You mean like Coca Cola boxes and picnic sets, you mean? Isn't that the essence
of 'cool'?

I think I remember seeing it, but actually one of the retirement gifts I'd been
given
by my year team at school was a pretty nifty little all-in-one digital travel
alarm clock with temp sensor (F or C), time zones and alternate time so I didn't
have to keep changing it, and calculator all combined - just the right present
to play with as we sped across time zones in the blasting heat, with mpg to
calculate every few hundred miles.

In my defence I stuck with my slide rule until about 1982 when I was blown away
by a Sharp programmable calculator which was made for scientists and engineers
and displayed the exponent as ... x 10(power in small numbers as a superscript)
and had excellent treatment of formulae entry (reverse Polish notation or
something). I still use it sometimes even these days.
