Better than normal. Any chance that you had a nice tailwind, or were drafting a semi, most of the way? I once stopped at an interstate rest stop, working over the engine for about 1/2 hour trying to figure out why my gas gauge still showed so much gas. I was impressed, and a bit embarrased, by all the offers of help that I got, and the looks of confusion when I explained that I was worried that my gas mileage was too high. Eventually one bystander pointed out that there was a very unusually strong tail wind. It was one of those D'oh! moments, but also probably my most economic tank of gas ever. I got over 39 mpg. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
