Hi all, I took my wifes 65 1500S Notch for a drive after being parked up for a year last week, and after about 10 minutes a noise started coming from the engine. Its a high pitched squealing noise that seems to be coming from the right hand side of the engine, but if I poke my head under the car it seems like its coming from somewhere else. I thought it was gernator bearings, but they are OK, then I thought it may be a dry clutch release bearing, but the sound is constant whether the clutch is engaged or not. The sound only disappears if I rev the engine. For anyone interested I've put a little movie up at http://www.matara.net/temp/notch.avi with sound so you can judge. Its really got me stumped. I'm thinking of pulling the engine to change the release bearing anyway, but any pointers would be much appreciated.
