At the Classic there are usually a few "junkyard" vendors that have 
divided bins with misc. VW hardware, which might be a good place to 
look. Also, try to find Axel Stauber, he's usually there and he might 
be able to hook you up with NOS clips and will probably have lots of 
other NOS Type 3 stuff straight from Germany.

Pomona is always a good place to look. Don't know about the Northern 
Cal swap.
