[T3] Dr. Fye made a house-call this evening and my car is running again!
<x-flowed>Brian was kind enough to drive up to my house -- a good 3 - 3.5 hour
trip -- with his women (wife and child) and work on tuning/syncing my
carbs. In under 1.5 hours my car was purring with nary a pop or bang,
just an occasional sneeze (not the constant carb sneezing like before).
She sounds sooo much better and is more responsive. Just need to do
some driving to fine-tune those pesky hunks of hollow metal atop my
intakes (jetting).
The power is THERE! Those dual springs really help out!! I launched
her at a hair over 5000rpm and lifted the nose but couldn't get the
tires to spin. Too much weight in the rear, yeah, that's the problem
;-p I'ma much happier now and Brian is DA MAN!
And she looks prettier, too, with the powder coated tin and bits in
place. Now I need to focus on a real paint job (pan off) and work on
the interior. Never ends...darn :-D
