ISTR some sort of working together of Bosch and Lucas at some point late sixties/early 70s, so it may have been around then. I should have looked up the parts book first - the M236 (FI) coil is actually a different part number, 311 905 115 C as opposed to 113 905 115 C for the carbed 12V coil. Anyone know the difference? I probably need to keep an eye out for the E (electrische?) bulletins - I expect it's in there somewhere. Better screened to prevent interference with the injection pulses? Higher voltage secondary to fire plugs better with leaner mixtures? Plugs in FI engines were meant to be changed every 6,000 miles weren't they, while for carb engines it was 12,000 (and cleaned every 3000 too)? Dave.
