I know that we all are considered wingnuts by some, but I am in need of some real ones. '67 stock dual carb engine with stock air cleaner assembly. The air cleaner has wingnuts locked into place to screw in to the top of the carb, along with a loose one to attach it to a bolt at the front of the engine. The one on my right carb has stripped out and I would like to replace it with one that still has threads. Anyone have one they can part with? From a junked air cleaner perhaps? Anyone attempted to replace just the wingnut, not just replacing the entire air cleaner? It's the wingnut that is stripped, not the carb side. Anyone have the loose wingnut for the front attachment? Yeah I know I can probably find something at the hardware store, but I like the feel and look of the flattened stock one.
