I agree to keep your VW as stock as possible. I own a 1968 VW that was modified to the Cal-look prior to me purchasing it and I would give anything to have my wing windows back. Unfortunately, the cost is quite substantial unless I just go ahead and purchase new doors, which would then entail getting my car painted over, etc., etc., etc. If it were not for the fact that my car runs like a top, I would get rid of it in a heartbeat and find myself a stock 67. When I went to look for my squareback I was determined this time to find one that had been unmolested and still had that "old man" feel. Although my squareback may have had a few minor alterations, I am proud to say that my interior is all original and in excellent condition [dash included] and my only complaint would be that when they had it repainted that they failed to take the time to match the paint to the original color a little better. My car is more the baby blue of the VWs as opposed to the more steel grayish color of the 67 squareback. Anybody know what the color is called.
