> Woops, E-brake boot: > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/scrapbook/63variant/11162002/ebrake_boot_rubber_band.jpg > > > That's obviously a very nice original car, but I don't recall that piece at all and it's not listed in my parts book either. Is it an acual part or just something someone put on there randomly? Anyone else have it in their book? > It's real but it's not in my parts book either. Maybe it's in the early parts book? Mine has a ton of addendums. In my Beetle parts book, it's: 113 863 345 A Retaining ring - Rubber boot (Beetles use the same boot) More info: The boot has no holes or splits to adjust the e-brake cables so there is just a split underneath so you can pull it back to adjust them. The rubber band keeps the boot tight on the e-brake handle under normal circumstances. - Everett ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
