Re: [T3] Purest Type 3 group?

RichS=> who is into stock and who is into custom?

My car is what would probably be generally described as 'mild custom.'
Various performance mods in the engine compartment, altered transaxle,
lowered a bit, alloy wheels, performance tires, added instrumentation,
custom interior, even the headlights are a little 'more.' So if I'm not
darkside, I'm pretty deep into the grey. (And I'm looking for a nice '67
Square to wrap around my spare Type 4 motor, by the way.)

Both lightside and darkside are well represented here, and we all get along
pretty well -- until we start talking about synthetic motor oils, anyway.
;)

What you've experienced is not the stock Nazism that you might find
elsewhere, but rather a pretty strong consensus on what doesn't work, what's
a waste of resources, and all-too-common advice that hurts more than helps
or just can't apply. We're probably due for another thread on drop spindles
pretty soon, for example.
