Hey guys quick related question... I have what I believe is the original windshield in my '71 squareback. Is there any way to tell whether or not it is original? The bottom of the glass has some fogging, and the glass has lots of 'age scratches" that hamper night vision...so I was wondering about replacement. My insurance covers windshield replacement, but I was wondering how good the modern glass and new seals are(ie how close to original looking)? I have heard that with my bus a replacement windshield wouldn't be the correct thickness glass, and therefore will have trouble sealing, and I think the original glass adds value...
