<x-flowed>well, too late. I just got back. They did a good job installing the
windshield, but the seal they used definitely had a short lip. At least it
had the grove for the metal trim.
They said that the kind of windshield that was in there before (tempered,
instead of laminated) is illegal in the US. I guess my car still had it
because it was brought over from Germany in 1998. Now I have laminated
glass, which is supposed to be safer. I was pleasantly surprised that they
had my glass in stock, so I was able to get it fixed today. Maybe since the
same windshield fits most model years, even up through '74, they are easier
to come by.
The place was about a 15 minute drive from my house....I'll never take my
windshield for granted again!

Please do, but don't take too long, as I need to order a seal very soon for
my Roadster. Otherwise I'll just get a WCM cal look seal, as I know they
fit.
