You're in SF.  Greg, the "instigator" of the list, lives just across the Bay 
Bridge from you, as well as Mark.  There are others on the list in and 
around the Bay, but this late in the day my memory is failing me as to
who they are .. grr.   I'm sure they'll chime in.

If that's actually what you were told, I'd *run* away from this "mechanic". Wiring
harnesses aren't like belts, they should *never* get "tight".   Stiff and brittle is 
another matter, that happens with age and there's not much that can be done.
