Re: [T3] 6v battery shorted out? (battery cables)

<x-flowed>I'm gonna have to disagree on this one. While Martin and I were checking out auto part stores for our alternator conversion kits we found a variety of battery cables with the factory-look manufacturing (sleepy, can't think of the right term) bonding of the cable and clamp. Same goes for the braided ground strap...all lengths/sizes out there. Go to a street rod show, especially the big ones, and check out the vendors. Replacements would be easy to find!

The replacement cable ends that just clamp on the end of your old wires will lose good contact and let you down in about 1 year. There's nothing out there that you can buy that is better than an original cable and clamp. Take good care of yours and they will last forever.
