The AT was available only with IRS, so that's why your friend's car doesn't have it. '68 MTs will be just like your '67. There were some swing axle cars made up to the end, but they were not sold in the US. For most of the world, '68 was the last of the swing axles. For those late swing axle cars, which rear engine mount did they have? BTW, the '68 AT type 3s are quite rare. They were not sold in the US. '68 ATs were dual carb only, but the AT was combined with FI in '69 and sold in that combination in the US from then on. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
