Type 3s don't get any suspension lift from the shocks. That is all done by the torsion bars. This is just the rear, right? Exactly WHAT is rubbing on what? Even if it is only rubbing on one side now, evening up the torsion bars would not help, because those wheels are still going to hit bumps occasionally and move up to that position where they interfere. Since the usual beetle offset is smaller than the type 3 offset, these wheels should be farther outboard than stock type 3 wheels. Unless your tire is rubbing on the outside, I'm confused. It's possible that the wheels you got do not all have the same offset. You should be able to tell this by swapping the wheels from side to side. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
