Barely long enough for the human eye to see. When you turn the key on, do you hear 2 clicks. One under the back seat, and one under the dash, about 1-2 seconds apart. During that 2 seconds, the fuel pump under the gas tank should run. If it doesn't, check the trigger point connection at the base of the distributor. It is a 3 wire connector that plugs into a black connector. Also check the power wire coming off the battery, and going to the FI power relay under the drivers side of the back seat. If the fuel pump is running, check the fuel pressure. It should be 28-32 psi. There is a test point between 2 of the injectors that should have a screw in it to plug it. Any hardware store 60psi pressure gage is good enough, along with a hose barb, and a couple feet of 5/16" gas line. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
