>I've recently come into a few cases and heads. I knew when I got this stuff that none of it would work on my car, but it was all free (My grandfather taught me "If it's free, take it") . My goal is to sell them off to raise funds for the continuing work on my square back. I have a few 40 horse cases, two 1500 cases, and a 36 horse case, along with several 36 and 40 horse and a few 1500 heads(Maybe even a 25 horse head or two). All of these are for T1. My question: is it going to be worth my time to try to clean these up and sell them? Are these in demand with the restoration crowd? > The 36hp cases can be desirable, it depends on the engine number/year and if the case is good. If the engine # starts with "20-", I'll take it since it's very early Bus. The 36hp stuff could be worth something but most 36hp and 25hp heads are cracked. The other stuff isn't worth much and not worth cleaning. It may be worth hauling out to your next swap meet to see if anyone wants any of it. -- Everett Barnes http://www.thesamba.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
