I have called around and it seems harder to find solex carb parts. Your best bet is to find someone who can help you sort out your problem. It is most likely that the solution is simple and you will only make it worse by spending money to change to something non-standard, which will almost certainly not work correctly right out of the box. You're in the right place to find help. Why not post your approximate location and tell us what year and engine you have. Someone here will know everything there is to know about it, and there MIGHT even be someone close to you. If your engine is backfiring, the first thing I would suspect would be SOMETHING associated with the ignition. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
