On the 4 way switch, I just unscrew the knob and spray it into the hole. I don't even remove the switch. Then put the knob back in and operate the switch a few times. If you want, you can flush the WD40 out with contact cleaner afterwards, but I don't. WD40 was invented for the Navy to remove water and corrosion from electrical equipment. The WD stands for Water Displacement. The 40 is the 40th formula. I learned the advantages of WD40 when I was a mechanic in the Navy, over 40 yrs ago. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
