:Yes, you can add an oil filter to the type 3 engine, but it requires a 
complete teardown of the engine to install it.

No, it won't help the cooling problem. To do that, you'll have to put the tin 
on and provide some kind of cool air duct to the inlet. Otherwise, you'll just 
be pulling in hot air off the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

I have type 3 cooling tin.
