Silicone brake fluid is DoT 5. I suspect that this is less important with the 
silicone, but you still need to verify compatability. Using the right kind of 
hose guarantees compatability. The hoses under there get black with dirt so you 
can't see the color. It's only after you take them out and clean them that you 
can see that they were once blue. I think I still have some of the blue hose if 
you need it.
