I wasn't sure what you were talking about at first, but I quickly realized that those were bumps in the primer which you have now sanded down to. I hadn't realized until now that it is important to do a quick light sanding of the primer coat for exactly this reason. I don't know how many of these little bumps you have, but primer alone doesn't seal the surface well. You might want to go over it once more with a fresh coat of color just so that you know that it's sealed everywhere. Otherwise you may find that those little spots are likely to rust thru early. What I was actually talking about was the tendency for the sanding to cut deeper where you were sanding around a corner. In those cases, it's easy to sand thru to the primer, or even to the metal, if yoo're not careful. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
