Make sure that you've got the wires connected correctly in that 3 wire connector inside the headlight bucket. You've probably got 2 of the wires switched so that when on high beams you've actually got low beams and on low beams you've got the high and low filaments in series, which would be invisible in daylight. > Also, I used a good auto paint that matches my stock Clemetine Orange on the > new fender, however, what is the next step in the process? Can anyone with experience give me some pointers? That's the basic idea. Just make sure you've got enough paint on there before you start, and be especially careful when sanding around corners, because that's where you're most likely to sand thru. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
