I think they are all welded, and on an early car this will be hard to get to.

Before you get too far into this, you should make sure that the movement you 
see is not just due to flexing of the parts because the hinge is nearly frozen 
tight. Oil the hinge with some light penetrating oil first; then when it has 
freed up, re-oil it periodically with heavier oil.
