I put in the igniter model before the igniter II model was available.  I 
would probably go with the igniter II, it's supposed to be an upgrade.  As far as 
matching your dist., there is one version of each model for a vacuum advance 
dist. & one for a fully centrifugal dist. (no vacuum tubes).
