The *BEST* best choice would be TIG, but they're rather expensive.  The
next-best would be MIG with gas (not flux-core!  Get the gas!).  Please,
don't use ARC for your rockers .. save the stick welder for building trailers.
Gas should be fine even with the heat -- you're honestly not worried about 
saving the paint, are you? =)

Keith, if you're up for a fieldtrip to Portland this month you could watch and 
maybe get some hands-on with rocker replacement when we tackle that
west-coast rustbucket Notch at DDB HQ..
