Would this apply if the car your jumping the battery from was hooked up wrong; but the T3 was hooked up correctly? If you put the cables on backwards you should get a big spark even if your battery is dead. If you stop at this point there won't be any damage. If you actually try to start the car then anything which is solid state may be ruined.
