Your .035" might be fine, but you want to be careful that you don't get
yourself in a position where you're stuck some cold damp night.

Get stuck? I drive VWs, Jim, so the toolbox lives in the trunk! =) I did try .040" at one point (with no other changes) and it ran like crap. I went back to .035"
