I probably have everything you would need to do this, but it would be a big job especially if you've never seen how everything goes together. Converting to carbs would probably be easier, but it will not pass a future inspection in CA this way. The brain is probably fine. They seldom get hot enough in a fire to damage them, even if they get smoky on the outside.
