<x-rich>I just got ahold of Paul at Type 3 Detectives in the UK... They have one for $45 + shipping.. he didn't state whether it was NOS, used or whatnot. Damn.. still seems expensive! Has anybody attempted to make their own? Is the metal on it something special for durability? Does anybody know the diameter of the wire? Just out of curiosity are T34 engine lids propped up in the same manner? Thanks. - jacin <color><param>7777,7777,7777</param>-------------------------- jacin ferreira san jose, california '64 1500S Sedan http://typ3kultur.com --------------------------</color> On Jan 15, 2004, at 8:59 AM, Jim Adney wrote: On 14 Jan 2004 at 18:27, Jason Weigel wrote: <excerpt>DAHM! They do pop up from time to time on ebay and samba. I would almost wait till it was a LAST resort. Or you could maybe work it into another purchase from them later for a discount. Anyway it looks possible to make one if you can find the springy wire. Some specific bends but doable.
