Ya know... in all these years, Ive NEVER worried about or set dwell at all!
I set the points gap carefully to spec, and since I use ventilated points I
never get the "tit" on them and the gap stays consistant.  I then set timing
and Im all set for 7 or 8K miles when I need to reset the gap then timing
again to account for wear.
