Sue, have you drained the fuel tank, and removed the hose? If not drain it, 
because you're going to have to up end it. If so, then you need to lift the 
right (facing it) side rear and rotate it up and back as the filler neck slides 
thru. To install, it's the reverse of the above. Right above where the drain 
hose attaches, is a large nut (with the tube passing thru it), remove the nut 
and tube, and a little further in is a brass sock. This is a pre-filter/screen. 
Once it's been removed, you can take it to a radiator shop for cleaning. I 
hope this helps.
