<x-flowed> Yeah, since posts are readable on the Web, posting e-mail addresses are harvestable.

A general approach -- if you think something might be real, whether paypal, ebay, microsoft, or whatever -- is to not click on anything in the email, but rather go to the site directly yourself by typing its name in your browser... log in, look for announcements, or mail the site's support, as appropriate.
