With just looking at the picture, something else is going on. I would
want to see the entire case, before commiting to anything. I have never
seen a case cracked in that area.
The only time I have had success welding, is when it was damage from
another failure like a broken valve or broken rod.
The good thing is, that there are plenty of used cases running around. I
don't have one right now for an IRS T3, but I am sure someone does.
