I don't think a ford with a 1100cc or 1300cc(If that even came as standard) would have sold well in 1950/60's USA... That's most likely whey you never saw them :-) Although they did kinda have fins :-) Anglia was a model name, just like the prefect, capri, falcon (oz) and Zodiac/Zephyr (Oh yeah... thats a cool car!!!! The mkIV Zephyr... Another old english ford with "fins") They do go very well really.
