All my daily drivers have had them, and they've been there for decades. They only fall out if you use that hole to pry the pulley around when doing a tuneup. I use a Sears ratcheting box-end wrench on the generator nut, so this problem just never comes up. When I'm rebuilding an old engine I always tap that sheet metal back into shape before I repaint it. I have several of those plugs in stock. I've been saving them for about 25 years. At prices like this I'm considering selling them. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
