I just got some new chrome trim strips from CIP that I'm getting ready to install and I've got the clips that came with it. For the lower strips (the fat ones that run along the rockers), those came with metal clips that were fairly easy to install, or so it seemed, although they didn't pop in all the way, I feel if I put too much pressure on it, it will bend the trim. It's stayed on for a few days now anyways. But the thin pieces that run along the middle of the fender across the length of the car have these white plastic clips. I can't figure out how to install the trim with these. I can see which part "clips" into the hole in the fender, and which part "clips" into the groove on the trim, but I can't figure out how to do it without damaging the trim since these clips have a little piece that sticks out and looks as if it's supposed to pop in when the chrome strip is installed. Maybe the holes in my fender are too small, but I can't push hard enough to pop the clips in without damaging the trim and I don't want to try anymore in fear of ruining the trim. Any help?
