Thats just it,  all Hype used to sell cheap crap and make money.  You just
need to use a little logic and take advice from those that have learned, not
those that are trying to sell you something.

If you check into it (and a listee did) the 009 originated as a dist for an
early industrial engine that runs at constant speed... that wouldnt be much
of an advance curve for a street driven engine would it?  Nobody really
knows if what you buy today is that same original curve but if its really
made by Bosch it should be.
Todays 009's are of very poor quality though, and if you measure the advance
curve it gives much less advance and in the wrong place for our engines. And
without vacuum advance, your just throwing away gas mileage.

SoCal is different, because thats where 90% of the aftermarket suppliers are
SELLING things are located, and this is because the most cars remain rust
free and servicable, the biggest population of customers.
